Pricing

We wish the age old question, “How much for shirts?” was easier to answer.  Every order is unique, and there are more than a few components that go into the price of a custom printed t-shirt.

The per shirt cost we send you is the price per printed shirt, with no extra set up fees. There may be additional costs such as ink color change or custom ink color fees. If we help you with your artwork prep or design, those costs are invoiced separately from the per t-shirt price.

Here are the components that go into the price of a custom printed tee!

If you choose a darker colored garment, the overall price may be more expensive since we usually need to print a white underbase, or print two coats of ink to make sure the colors are as bright as possible. Without the underbase or two coats of ink, your design will look faded and darker than expected.

The fabric content of the garment is also a defining factor when it comes to price. 100% cotton tees will be the most cost-effective option. Polyester blends are slightly more expensive, but are softer and more breathable. Triblends are on the higher end of the spectrum in terms of price, but they are super soft and lightweight.

Different garment styles can differ in price from a basic tee as well. A t-shirt with a v-neck or a pocket will be slightly higher in price since they are not produced at the volume level that basic tees are.

The price of a shirt with a 1-color design or  a 6-color design can be drastically different. The number of colors per placement on your shirt affects the cost as well. So, a 2-color front and 1-color back design will be less expensive than a 2 color front and 2 color back shirt.

The number of places on the shirt that your print appears affects how much we charge per garment. There are several standard print placements, and we also can print on non-standard locations like the side of a shirt, or the hood (those cost a lil’ extra). Learn more about placement options.

When our standard print size just isn’t big enough, try oversized printing! It costs a little extra per shirt, and your design can stand out above all the rest.

We primarily use plastisol ink at Amano, mainly for its flexibility, vibrant colors, and durability. In the future, we are hoping to start using more waterbased inks. Stay tuned!

We also offer some specialty ink options like Metallic and Puff ink! Puff ink is super cool and adds a unique ‘pop.’
