Amano Print House is an artist owned and operated screen printing and embroidery shop on Wisconsin Avenue in Appleton, WI. We are currently accepting applications for our Need A Hand? Grant until March 28, 2021.

Examples of “good things” that we’ve been seeing around: donating to a social justice cause, creating a tee shirt fundraiser for hunger relief, outfitting your volunteers for an event such as a fundraiser, donating money to a specific mutual aid relief program, or selling shirts for profit to fund a service you can offer discounted or for free.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Applicants must be in the Northeast Wisconsin. One of the two grants will be awarded to someone in the Fox Cities, which includes Appleton, Kaukauna, Menasha, and Neenah, the villages of Combined Locks, Fox Crossing, Harrison, Hortonville, Kimberley, Little Chute, and Sherwood, and the towns of Buchanan, Clayton, Freedom, Grand Chute, Greenville and Harrison.
Applicants may be non-profits, for-profit businesses that are donating time, money via fundraiser, or services, or individuals such as artists that will be selling printed goods to benefit a cause.
WHAT IS THE NEED A HAND? GRANT?
Amano Print House loves the city of Appleton and the Fox Cities area. We want to contribute to our community by awarding two $500 grants for custom screen printing, embroidery, or design to two non-profits, organizations, businesses, or individuals that do good things for our community and need help doing so.
The fine print:
These grants are to be used by the end of 2021. We require proof of outcome, which will look different for each recipient and will be agreed upon before the grant is given.
Each recipient will be required to donate an agreed upon amount of money or provide a certain amount of discounted or free services as a result of this grant. The amount will vary case by case. If it is not reached, recipients will need to either donate the remaining required amount of money or time; otherwise, the recipient will be responsible for the full cost of services provided by Amano Print House.
In addition, we ask for two social media posts that tag @amanoprinthouse, preferably Instagram.
WHAT IS THE APPLICATION PROCESS?
Fill out the application below and submit. We will review and respond to all applicants by April 5th, 2021. If you are selected as a finalist, we require a response by April 12th to continue in the process. Two projects will be selected by April 16th, 2021.

*If you are selected as a grant finalist, we will follow up with you to learn more about the specifics of your grant proposal. E.g. If you plan to use the decorated apparel for direct sales, how much would you sell the items for? What amount of the shirt sales will be donated?
